    Ordinary Man

A breath above the earth, below the skies
Feels a gentle grasp cut by roughened edge
Return to children's dreams the soft round pearls inside

Reaching in to smooth, define in compromise
Accept what is and warn with warmest pledge
A breath above the earth, below the skies

As holy I was made, as you, turn from change's lies
And break upon the learning, all break from knowledge
Return to children's dreams the soft round pearls inside

Only silver's earthly shine adorns without disguise
Sharing the harm of you, don't begrudge
A breath above the earth, below the skies

Mirror, my solitude, the dance, your garden's wild flower sighs
Beg to learn to bend with wind, not judge
Return to children's dreams the soft round pearls inside

Skin become stone, a perch for lightning flies
To sit, break me to sand, slide down abyss's edge
A breath above the earth, below the skies
Return to children's dreams the soft round pearls inside
