wowzas, a decade, i bet yer good... i've had my bass for a couple of years, i played it for a good month or so, lol..
FAWK!! i was gonna respond but i saw you mentioned me.... yes, i loved strumming... i can strum well... please teach me, jer!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASEEEE!!! (heh)
i ve been playing for 20 years..professionally 5 years..used to play 4 nights a week for 2 years...the best job i used to take were the hotel ones..i miss those days..
the only gutarr i've ever played is the proverbial invisable one i did have a plastic uke once i've played french horn, was even half way decent at it recorder (that wooden midevil whistle flute type thing) was even in a band with it; the barony of three mountains recorder consort kit built analog synthasizer modules keyboards (sort of, never in a band or all that good at, know where the chords are and how to keep my fingers from stumbling over each other usualy if i'm not trying to sight read though) other brass and wind i can mostly fake french horn and trebble cleff brass was my only 'a' in high school i wouldhave and shouldhave if i could have gone on with that but i guess it wasn't ment to be but mostly for me music was a substitute to the empty place in my heart for this internet that didn't exist yet at the time so now that it does i can't really say as i miss it all that much i still drag out one of those two notes at a time two and a half octive cheepie toy keyboard things i've dragged arround with me for the past 20 years once in a while. hasn't been my main thing since long before ever there first was this internet though when i had the synth modules i had a vox jaguare as a source to play through them. that was fun but like so many things in the many times i've relocated in the past in this life it got left behind someplace i ran out of money to pay the rent and that was almost 30 years ago maybe i'll get another recorder or a sakahachi one of these days or something like a very strange oddly shaped kind of syntasizer i saw once, that doesn't have keys or strings but a kind of touch pad you can do glissandos on. it's shaped a little like a gutarr head without the neck and you hold it on your lap to play it. playing the notes with one hand and the controls with the other really trippy skippy wierd like the way is how i like things =^^= .../\...
a couple of years now I know all the chords...... but it's strictly rhythm, I haven't learned to make it cry or sing......
i have only been playing for a few months i can play the main riff of smoke on the water and a riff of Nirvana's the man who sold the world. Im not too good but I love playing with heavy distortion and just screwing off
