ive tryed cooking with weed with mixed results lots of times ill take a gram or two and cook it up in a good amount of butter till the but looks dark but not brown then ill eather eat it then or freeze the butter. Is it the freezing that stops the effects?
freezing shouldn't have a denaturing effect on the thc. i'm guessing it's in ur technique. it's possible that ur still burning a lot of it, or at least getting the butter and thc too hot during the cooking. do you directly cook the butter and weed in the pan or do you use water, cause using water along with the butter with the weed will ensure that there is no burning. afterwards you cool the combination so the butter separates from the water
yea... with only a gram or two of bud... i would use no more than a 1/4stick of butter to each gram.... also with using that little of butter.. you can easily burn off more thc than wanted... your best bet with cooking with only a gram is putting about a cup of water in a small pan.. with the butter.. wait for the butter to melt and then bust up a gram and add it to the pan... simmer for 30min... pour into a bowl.. and put in the fridge... wait for the butter to settle on top and harden.. then you can remove it and use it... the butter should be about the color of a camo green... yea.. i dont see any problem with freezing your butter either.. you can save it... just as long as the butter itself dont go bad...
