Whenever Danny sees me nursing Julian he says "baby feed baby feed" over and over. And sometimes he askes me to feed his toys. But today instead of asking me to feed his truck, he sat next to me and nursed his truckhimself. It was so cute and funny.

And yesterday we were at the store and Danny saw a baby with their mommy and Danny pointed at them and said "Feed baby feed baby" really loud in a very demanding voice and then pointing at me, like he wanted me to nurse that baby too. I had to explain that even though I nurse him and our new baby, its up to other babies' own mamas to feed them. ")

LOL. I have nursed.......stuffed unicorns, baby dolls, trucks, toy cars, hundreds of stuffed animals, and refused a request to "Give Kasha (our dog) some nummy. She sad." Not to mention nursing four real children.

They are so cute. All my kids nursed their toys, even my boy. A few of my kids even tried to nurse from daddy. One day Bear was lying on the floor and fell asleep, Sage, who was a year and a half old and KNEW papa didn't nurse her, came up to him, saw his chest (it was summer and he wasn't wearing a shirt) got an evil gleam in her eyes and yelled, "NIPPLE SUCK!" and latched herself on. The man jumped a foot, from a lying postion. Hollered so loud it would have scared a child who wasn't used to warding off three older sibs and 3 dogs. It was hilarious.

My dd Sunshine, when she was a newborn, just few days old, once gave him a hickey on his neck. He was rocking her in bed (she never slept and we were so exhausted) and I was kinda sleeping and I heard the sucking and didn't think anything of it. He went to work the next day and one of his buddies made a joke about "your wife...." and Bear laughed and said, "I can't get within 20 feet of my wife, the baby did this trying to nurse." After that, I would hear him gently telling the babies, while gently turning their heads, "I'm not your mama. I'm not your mama." And hand them off to me, if they were to persistant.

    Nummy babies are so funny.

James would suck your lower lip if you let him! My sister, who by the way is freakishly obsessed about germs and even she didn't mind, thought it was the cutest, funniest thing and would try and get him to do it to her. He was no older than three months then.

My dad said he used to stick his nose into my mouth when I was a baby, because it was "funny." Eyweew. What a weird guy.
