How the cannabis is positioned in a bong

How exactly is the weed supposed to be in the bowl? Like shoved into it or what. Does the smoke just go into the pipe and throught the water by itself? What am I supposed to do?

Won't some of it fall through?

 

Falling through is the idea. The bud will not fall through until it is ash.

 

Wen its weed at least it will fall through as red blims that wen they hit the water they will steam and smoke so dont need to worry bout that.

 

if your worried about weed falling through hole put small piece of stem in there

 

i had teh same querie when i started. but then i realised that the weed generally doesnt go thru teh hole till tis ash. unless its really really fine. u jsut need to put igger bits at the bottom, and it will keep its shape.

 

Dont you guys use a gauze or screen?

 

GAUZE? Like dentist guaze? Thats the only type ive ever heard of so excuse me if I sound like a dumbass. You dont really need a screen depending on how big the hole is. ANd as someone else said, use a stem.

 

Proper cones u buy from shops are shaped so its like impossible for things to fall throught because the top pressure forces the particles at the bottom to push against the sides (due to the cone shape).

 

I use these small glass screens for bongs, you can get them at headshops. It's a tiny glass piece you just drop into the bowl and it lets air through, but no weed, best investment you can make. they go about $4 for that tiny piece of glass though, and when you cash the bowl you have to make sure not to lose it!

 

This is gonna sound really sad and stupid but I live in a relatively small town and there is no head shop (that I know of, even asked a few stoners)

 

How can you not smoke with the stoners in your town but talk to them? ill give you an idea though for a water bong if your desperate. Get a drumstick and wrap tinfoil around it., slide the tinfoil off of the drumstick except at the very end, bend the end upwards, then get a mechanical pencil or pen and rip out all the insides and youll have a plastic tube, place the tin foil over the plastic tube (You might have to press around it to keep it to stay on). There is your bowl for the water bong. The rest is up to you how you want to do it. You wont need a screen. When you fill the bowl up the little slit at the bottom of it will work as a screen.
