he is truly an inspiration to me hes so beautiful in his poetry. its like ahhhhhhhhh when your feeling down, and it makes me smile
I began to dig him when my friends mom gave me a bunch of her inspirational books to borrow, one with "Anger" in it. He's amazing.
so i finally ordered his book off amazon 'peace is every step'...I've read some of his poems and teachings on the plum village website and loved them and i've heard so many great things about him so I can't wait! "Do not be idolatrous about or bound to any doctrine, theory, or ideology, even Buddhist ones. All systems of thought are guiding means; they are not absolute truth." I like his way of thinking here...Spot on
Peace is every step is a wonderful book! It is simple, teaching the same age-old ideas, but it has a freshness and a innocent elegance that give it a special charm of it's own.
Yeah ive read the first 30 pages, some of it I find over simplified, but on the other hand I really love the simplicity of 'Tangerine Meditation'. I also really like the emphasis on mindfulness of breathe it's a type of meditation I use frequently not only in sitting meditation sessions but also at every possible oppurtunity...If I feel myself getting stressed at work I stop and focus on my breathing for a minute so I can bring myself back to that moment and it reminds me the future and past are simply all in my mind. The only 'real' part of life is right now in this moment! I think he brings that extremely important teaching into extremely simple passages. Yeah so so far I really like it.
