That is true. The end is 2012. The Bible said that when the antichrist is here so will be the end of the world and he's already here.
And hes in the white house.

I personally don't think it's going to just be the abrupt end of the world...
But a decade of occult research has led me to see this date pop up in a -lot- of belief systems and cultures. It's very signifigant, and has a lot of meaning in too many circles to disregard it entirely.
I can't wait to see what happens, and I do think -something- big will happen, even if no one notices at first(i.e. someone is born, a technology is started up, whatever)

maybe the first year no republican will be elected and none ever will again? america allows a communist part and for it to put candidates on the presidential ballot? bush, rumsfield, chainey and rove actualy do go on trial for war crimes in den hague?

well interesting non'end of the world' things COULD happen. but i just don'e place all that much stock in the 'magic' of dates. even years. there could be an international 'bank holliday' and the corporatocracy colapsis like happend in the u.s. in 1931, only on an international scale and not just one country. or aliens could arrive to rescue us from a colapsing ecology that we screwed up with all our use of combustion to generate energy and propell transportation. then we'd all be scattered in refugee camps on other worlds all over the galaxy.

the only thing i'd put any money on is that it will be a u.s. presidential election year. whether or not legitimate elections, or any at all, will actualy be held.

which reminds me, it's not too early to start thinking about party platform planks for the elections comming up in 2008. even if we can't get rid of diebold's election rigging.

the world actualy ended in 1844 too.

at least we're sure not living in anything like what it was like before then.
even just on the basis of population, let alone tecnology.

in 1844 the world was a big place. and someone living on another continent might as well be an extra terrestrial from outer space.

    can you immagine it?

can you immagine going for your first ride on a steam train when everybody walked or rode horses and internal combustion automobiles hadn't yet been invented. or voice phones. just mail and telligraph key for long distance communication. no television or radio. mass media ment newspapers. and most of them were as full of bull shit as the six o'clock news on tv is now.

the mayan calender probably stopped because they got lazy. half joking. :D

but who knows... no one can really predict a date. this stuff reminds me of the year 2000 and how everyone acted.

2012 though being "the age of enlightenment" i can feel a bit though with the phases of the moon and energy... maybe a balancing, changing act but itll be subtle and no one will really notice unless you change yourself- that's what i think.

people dying of starvation don't do a lot of screaming.

we're not ALL going to die you know.
and we're certainly not going to do so on cue!

there are just as many good wonderful things waiting to happen
as there are horrible unhappy ones too.

2012 is a u.s. presidential election year. the big event of that year will either be the resaults of that election, or, if it doesn't take place, of its not doing so.

of course all sorts of other things will take place as they always do. but that is what i predict will be the big one.

2012 the end of times? Even if jesus or god or whatever they expect to show up does not show up, I believe christians will end the world themselves and if not cause great suffering and pain.

    They are already on march.

well they are hell bent on doing so. it's the collective death wish they are in denyal about having. which is totaly obvious to almost anyone else that is what all this so called end of the world crap is really all about.

some of us don't buy into it of course. now i, and presumable others know, that our not buying into it won't protect us individualy from them. not as individuals selectively.

but it does mean there's at least a roll of the dice chance that some of us, or something vaguely human, will survive what they ARE actualy themselves bringing about.

and when all the unpleasantness finally does come and go and has come and gone, the world those who emerge out the other side of it into, is one i envy them of, whatever it means the're having to do without to start over.
