Garbage is one of the few moderatly big bands from the latter 90's till now that I can say I like, and actually like quite alot.
I love Garbage, personally. I get a lot of shit from other people about being a huge Garbage fan, but c'mon. They are always fresh, and way unique. Shirley Manson is a fucking goddess...I adore her. AHH!
I missed the excitement of the first album and singles, but 10 years on, I think they're the best rock act around, terrific live, and wonderfully outspoken!
Second album, Version 2.0 is Garbage at their best! But glimpses of their genius and high standards are still on their 4th album, but I've yet to see how to sounds live, which is pretty much how I judge my music.. Cherry Lips had a touching tribute attached to it when I went to see them live a few years ago, and has nothing to do with the song's erotisism..
They really destoryed their reputation with that shitty third album, I can't even remember the record, just that it was bad.
HA HA! Yeah.. Beautifulgarbage! Should have never gone for any beautiful sound. What was is all about?? Cup of Coffee was the only gem, the only song about self torment and self torture. But I still play it because I can forget it's by Garbage and I like the couple of 30's and 40's style tracks on there.
The band (besides Shirley) were all ex producers for Nirvana, how could you not like them? i really like "Why do you love me"
