well the difference when smoked is that sativa gives more of a head-high but indica gives more of a body-high.. but maybe you didint mean that
the difference bitween sitivas and indikas is this --- Sitivas give a light up sereabral buz deffinatly one for a party. Lots of laughter. Sitivas are lots of fun. They are tall slender plants with a lower flower to leaf rashio. indikas on the other hand are totaly different they are the opisit of sitivas Indikas are short bushy plants with a high flower to leaf rashio. Indikas will give the user a more phisical hit with a heavy body like stone that will glue you to the couch for hours dephanately not one for the party atmosphere. Hope this has helped
Indica's & i-doms are the choice for most growers because: Sativa's take longer to flower, making them more expensive to grow inside. Outside, that means that since they don't finish until Nov., frost/cold weather may kill them before they're ready. Also, sativa's grow taller than indica's. Inside that means you need more vertical height than indica's to get the same yield as indicas. Outdoors it means a more noticable plant. Also, sativa's tend to make you more paranoid when you're baked. I prefer i-doms when I'm home and s-doms when I'm out and about.
Aside from pure preference, I would only ever grow indica strains. Sativa tends to be alot more 'wild' than indica is. Indica is usually more vigorous and resistant to pests, diseases and other problems, like under/overwatering and nutrient deficiencies. In nature, sativa is native to equatorial regions. It demands more intense light and a dryer climate. It is more susceptible to cold temperatures and humidity. Being a foreign plant, it does not have natural defenses for alot of the common plant pests and diseases that will be prevalent in your own region. Alot of sativa strains are also autoflowering since they don't get an adequate flowering period at the equator, which is a trait you do not want. Indica is native to more northern regions, like Europe or US/Canada.
