I took a lil sompthing sompthing to make the show more emotional haha, I was blown away, it was a near-life changing experience.
sigur ros live was really incredible! they had wonderful lights, great pictures, and of course, the music was just incredible! i dont know if boise was the right crowd for them...especially on cinco de mayo...in the middle of Viðrar vel til loftárása, they paused the music completly...but people would keep on yelling and thinking it was over, while the rest of the crowd was shushing them...woulda been nice if the crowd would of kept their cool a bit more. lots of pissed drunk red necks...but they all seemed to love it, so it was great it was fun seeing all the different people there to. their were some people crying, some people making out, some meditating, it was really terrific. they can get soooooo intense i loved it, and think everyone, if they get the chance, should get to see em
Saw them in Boston in October 2002. One of the best shows I'd ever been to. The atmosphere was astronomical. Takk... was great at first, but now I'd much rather just listen to their second or third LPs instead. And I just went on vacation to Iceland at the beginning of April !! No Sigur Ros, Bjork, or Mum sightings, unfortunately. Just cds.
yeah the album '()' is really great. i usually dont even get passed the first track though, its just too much to handle, hah.
I love Sigur Ros to bits. They're so beautiful. Their music is so magical, i wish i could hear them live, although im not sure i'd be able to contain myself. Has anyone heard of Mew? Because they're a great band inspired by Sigur Ros. So peaceful.
I saw Sigur Rós live recently. Absolutely amazing, flawless, huge sound. I was sitting in the back, and they still pressed me to the wall. They started with Glósoli, behind a big screen, with a big green light behind them making huge shadows on it... it was very cool. Watching Jónsi play is something else, too, he's freakishly skinny and kind of hunches over his guitar, while playing it with his bow. And his falsetto was amazing the whole time, I don't see how he could do that for so long. Also, just watching Orri (the drummer) play was cool by itself, he really gets into it, just beating the fuck out of the drums. It was a very intense, beautiful experience. So yea, it kicked ass.
