Supercritical butane extraction

I want to make some oil using the butane extraction method. The last time i tried to make "oil" i used the wash method with the alcohol and all it did was make my lungs hurt very badly (which makes me think i messed up) but i tried that 3 times and the 3rd time was o/k i just am not good at making it or i need to use better buds. i want pure pure pure oil, and that is my goal. I was wondering how much i should expect to yield off of about 2 ounces of non-schwag but not dank either, just some good old reggie.

Also does anyone have a good guide i could use? or some tips? personal advice? and how long is it best to wait for the butane to leave the oil, is there a trick to tell when its good to store/smoke? also is it best to put the first run oil into everclear or something and do that wash method with oil?

 

To make butane honey oil you need good buds or good trim. Really frosty. Well you cant really use shwag with any methods and get good stuff. Other than that its hard to get bad stuff with iso method,

I just put like an ounce in a plastic bottle, turn it upside down, make a hole in the bottom which is now top, then take a coffee filter , uncap the bottle, put the cofee filter and recap the bottle, so it now seems logical what will happen, make a few holes in the cap . Blow the butane in the first hole, on the opposite side of cap. Nowe for an ounce, maybe ... five 250 ml bottles if its good stuff . The more you blow thew less quality though at some point.

The first bottle doesnt drop much from the bottle, the second it starts then its good. Have a plate or sometn to catch it. There, let it evap outside butane is fuckin toxic and evap really quickly.

when theres no more ViSibLE (still left of course!) butane , i then let it sit under a fan for a good few hours. This way the crispiness of the oil installs. Then i scrape it and you can put the little pieces of oil into a ball.

Sometimes with shitty buds re trim., it will just never be unsticky and solid. Sigh.

YOU Still Have butane in the product though, whatever the time of evap!!! (most poeple dont care)
So you can butter it up, then its good to go.

This is ghetto method. People will tell you pvc method which i have used once and think its too much trouble

 

by buttering it up, do you literally mean buttering it up? how does your oil turn out if you use good bud grapefruity? i read a guide that said it is storable as a liquid, and it is possible to keep in an eye dropper. should i go for letting it dry and scraping or opt for liquid storability

 

fuckin old guides oil that is not solid is shit in my opinion. Like you cant make it into a ball. . If it is still oily there is still butane. and if you use good bud and its oily, its really because you didnt evap enough. Schwag would give something you could never really handle like hash say, I guess

yeah i mean buttering up. Put a little piece of oil on a plate, let it a few minutes in oven at 180 farenheit, until it has like taken volume , like made a foam (butane wanting to come out!), then take it out and whip it with a toothpick, then all the butane bubbles that formed you break em by whipping and you get a purer and safer product. ıt also makes a change in texture. Look , the yellow is made with dank buds, the brown with medium outdoor stuff. Still was really stoney.

also, i hope you have access to cheap buds or sometn. I wouldnt go buy a 150$ ounce to make like 4 grams of oil. Ive had 5 grams once but usually its more liek 4. Butane also is pricey. For me its more of a luxury when i come across free or really cheap stuff.

Grapefruity, to specify, are you spraying the butain in from the bottome of the bottle, or from the hole in the cap? Intuition tells me from the bottom, but just to be certain...

In any event, that method sounds a lot less troublesome than the guies I've seen.

 

Ya'll make my job too easy! tell me intutively how one can get oil from vapor, a little more intuition would tell me that liquid runs down hill, OH as does oil something about gravity, I've been told!

And nobody wants to come home and open Sags door only to find child guts scattered about the room, it's a terrible mess to clean up!

Well, of course I realize how dangerous butane is. I've not actually contemplated making it; just the knowledge is nice to have. In any event, the idea of smoking something super-saturated in butane sounds a little nasty. After all, I don't even enjoy the taste of my weed after torching it with a lighter.

I wonder what the chances of a lighter blowing up in my hand because of the heat are...

yeah someone I know really warned me bout it and now I kinda hesitate. Started making it when it was minus 30 celcius outside last winter but now its summer maybe its risky.
