The little princess is sleeping so I get a moment of Me-time...hahaha *evil laugh* I never thought I'd miss something as simple as going potty undisturbed. But anyway...My milk still never came in fully. I'm a low-supplier. So Moire nurses and then she takes a bottle. We were worried about the cost of formula, so WIC supplied us with some. It was milk-based. She got a horrible butt-rash and was vomiting. Not just spit-up. Vomit. So, I took her to a pediatrician and she was diagnosed with milk-allergy. Duh. And she's getting HUGE. 3 weeks and she's already over 8 lbs. She eats like a horse. No wonder I couldn't keep up! 2.5 oz every 2.5 hours plus breast milk. And she's peeing so much we can't keep her in diapers. Thank goodness her grampa saw fit to buy us diaper service. And she's a hotbox just like mommy and daddy. Brian and I were worried about not being able to sleep with the window open and the fan on because of her sharing our room. But all worries are put to rest as baby is just as hot as we are, and a whole lot more fussy about it. We co-sleep but she and I are waking up often to pull our sticky bodies apart. So sometimes, she sleeps in the bassinet. And she's strong as can be, lifting her head up consistently since birth. Alert quite often during the day and literally staring people down. She's even started to smile for us. And while she looked like me the moment she was born, we're seeing more of Brian's traits in her.Like her feet. I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon about her possibly being pidgeon-toed. Brian was, my brother was, my cousin had club-foot. So with such an extensive family history and her holding her right foot like she does, we're looking into getting it taken care of right now. That's all I can think of right now. But I thought I'd share since I'm not on nearly as much as I used to be. With good reason. I'm in good company.
It's hard to believe she's 3 weeks old already. She sounds wonderful. Good luck with the orthopedic appointment! Will they be able to fix her foot if she is pidgeon-toed?
Sound like she's doing great! Remember to keep us all updated with lots of baby pics. They grow so fast...
