Well, you can definitely play solos on an acoustic guitar. Alot of people think that acoustics are harder to play because the strings are usually harder to bend and such. I think that it's about even and that it depends on what kind of music you're playing. The typical electric soloing where you just wank around on the pentatonics, that shit is easy. Good jazz guitar and other stuff, is harder and it sounds better too. Then, it's pretty difficult to learn to pick like the good bluegrass player do as well. I say it's all pretty varied and in the end, it's about the same.
well to me...electric all the way...acoustic just bothers me most of the time...i guess its because i play easy power chord stuff....i just need that harder edge and that distortion
Acoustic, definitely... I really would like to make some kickass pop music like Rooney and The Wondermints and The Flaming Lips, but I have no access to a kickass drummer who puts music ahead of drugs, let alone a bassist or lead guitarist. And so when I write songs I like to write them with everything that will accompany the words, and an acoustic guitar is enough. Plus I can sound awesome on an acoustic and I'm not even that good. :H
I love both and play both very regularly but acoustics prefereable nylons sound better than any electric could ever sound. Peace & Hugs Brian
hmmm i can get really into the tone of an acoustic but i definitely prefer to play my electric. I have tiny hands and the neck on my acoustic is pretty big when compared to the neck on the electric and plus i love the distorted sound of an electric when flyin high so i'm gonna go with electric
I've been going mostly acoustic, at least when playing on my own, for years but very recently I experienced sort of an electric awakening... Finding a dynamic power of expression and being able to vary the sound according to the song's needs is what I'm after. And clearly, some songs do need the acoustic overtones as well. So, two parts electric here!

All the chords? That's impossible, there's thousands. Maybe there's a wiki to that effect though. I'll have a look around. Here we go. This should help you out. It still can't have every possible chord, but it's got as many as you'll need for a long time. http://guitarwiki.com/index.php/Guitar_Chords
thanks....that site shows all the chords on one page....... I found this one http://dolphyn.com/guitar/ that has a guitar chord gizmo, but you can only see one chord at a time after u put in the chord u want.
