no, but the university of Iowa has one of the best writing programs in the country. I don't know if that helps.
What type of writing? Several screenwriters have gone through Brandeis (for example, the writers of Friends). Also, a few more technical writers also studied there, specifically Pulitzer Prize winner Thomas Friedman. Most schools in Boston are pretty liberal arts focused, so you'd easily be able to find good writing programs there.
right now I want program that's very broad, I like the one in Pratt but $$$, so im looking to see if I can find anything that its similar but cheaper
It depends on what type of writing program you are looking into. While the University of Iowa has the number one program for writing in the country it is not for undergrads. Some good writing schools that I know of off of the top of my head are: Warren Wilson, Wofford, and NYU.
you can learn it by yourself, unless you want to teach or become a scholar. I am a writer, amateur, but I learn the trade. You just need to know the right directions and the right people so you don't get scammed. NYU is good, by the way.
