I recently found this book called the Tyranny of Words by Stuart Chase and it is truly unique. It delves into the stucture of language and how we use it. He says that language is merely a tool and it can be very influential (like good political speeches). I thought it was pretty interesting and helps give you a power over language instead of vice versa.
