my gf wants me to get my tongue pierced. she keeps asking me to get one, so I might get it done for her. but I just wanted to know some stuff first 1. are there any risks? someone said that you can loose your ability to taste stuff, or you can loose your tongue? I know it probably bull shit but I was just wondering? 2. how long will I talk weird for after I get it done? 3. ok this is for the girls, do you like the way it looks on a boy? or do you think it would make a guy look stupid? 4. would it be ok, if I was up on pain killers when I get it done? 5. how long does it hurt for after? 6. is there any thing else I should know before I go? tips, advice, risks, ect. 7. this is really stupid, but does it really make the oral sex better for girls? First of all, I would never pierce my body for someone else. Make sure that you are really wanting to do it (sounds like no?) As for your questions: 1. I've heard that there are risks but a professional knows what he's doing. I had mine done about 10 years ago and never had a problem. 2. You may talk weird for a few days or a few weeks...just depends... 3. Don't think it looks stupid really on guys, just don't constantly mess with it-that's annoying 4. Really, you don't need to be on pain killers, I don't remember it hurting all that bad. 5. It may be a little sore afterwards, but not painful. Really. 6. Tips-keep your mouth clean. Rinse with plain listerine (I think that's what I used) after every time you smoke, eat, kiss, etc...ask your piercer for specifics 7. Dunno about oral sex. The best I've had is with someone who isn't pierced...

1. basically.. no. chances of anything are very low 2. few days probaly. depends on the person of course.. some people will have barely anything for a day and some will talk funny for a couple of weeks. i got two done and my speech was a bit wierd for a few days.. weekmax 3. well.. im male. 4. tongue piercings are commonly seen as one of the lest painful piercings, so dont worry bout it. its all done after half a second anyway 5. its wierd to get used to.. but its pretty good. grab an ice block afterwards and ya should be sweet 6. mouthwash after everything. eating, drinking, smoking etc. diluted is best.. say 1 part listerine to 1-2parts clean water. can also swirl water with sea salt but consult your piercer on aftercare advice. 7. as for most things.. everyones different.. depends on the giver and reciever.. but yeah.. can make things a lot better. shouldnt really make things worse so its basically win/win
If you don't want the tongue ring for you, don't get it done. Girlfriends come and go, man. You run the risk of chipping the enamel off of your teeth, infection....as your mouth is always moist and bacteria strives on it, swelling....yes, it can become a problem if you get an infection in there and your tongue swells to gigantic proportions, the piercing can damage your gums, there is also a major blood vessel in your tongue that, if hit, might disfigure you or kill you. Though these are unlikely, (aside from the tooth emamel one), they are still risks. I didn't talk weird at all. Mine didn't even swell. It felt weird to eat because I had a really long barbell in my tongue (in case it did swell), but that only lasted about 4 days, then I was used to it. My boyfriend has one, and I think it's sexy. But, your girlfriend only wants you to get your tongue pierced for one reason....it doesn't matter if it looks stupid or not. Why? It doesn't hurt. I didn't even know my tongue had been pierced yet and the guy was like....you're all done. Seriously....a bee sting hurts worse. The only time mine hurt was after I cleaned it. Then I realized....Listerine has ALCOHOL....so, I switched to salt water and it didn't hurt anymore. Suck it up, be a man, leave the painkillers at home for real pain. And, don't get it done for your girlfriend. If the guy knows how to use it, yes. And, if there is a vibrating tongue ring involved. Like I said....that's the only reason she wants you to get it done, anyway.
it chips the enamal off ur teeth yes but that's y ur wear plastic tongue ring balls, it doesnt set up infection in ur mouth, it only swells when u get it done. and yeah like moon said if YOU dont want it dont get it !
