I really don't find it funny much at all...the occasional laugh comes out of me but I would only watch it as a last resort in a television crisis.
don't you EVER compare south park to family guy. Family guys jokes are interchangeble and completely irrelevant to the plot. It is one of the few things on this planet that i hate! (this is only funny if you've seen the south park cartoon wars)
This show just tries to see how offensive it can be. It is not cutting edge. It is just a TV show trying to say "vagina" or "penis" as many times as it can, and get away with it. Yeah, Stewie is funny, and the first season was funny. Brian:"Gee. Peter. I'd like to help you out, but I have to go out in the hall and chew on the back of my ass for about 40 minutes." Best line ever. My dh says it all the time, every time one of our dogs does this. But, it has gone down hill since this one. My 6 year old walked into the room, when American Dad was on (my teens think these shows are really funny) and said, "This is the SAME SHOW as Family Guy. But the guy isn't as fat." Out of the mouths of babes..
I don't watch it regularly, but I will once in a while. I at least like it better than most of the popular shows on TV.
actually I hate cartoons, but the family I stayed with last summer always watched family guy (and I often sat somewhere within earshot) now I don't think it is that bad anymore, but I still don't really like it. if I was alone in front of the tv, maybe i'd watch it as some kind of last resort...
Family Guy is the bomb diggity. One of the few critisizms i have of the show is the way they stuff as much filler, in the form of songs in as they can. Some can be funny; Rock lobster! Wock Wobster! but most are just an annoying waste of time.
i love this show. and maybe its just me, but on newer simpsons episodes, it seems like they're trying to copy family guys pointless and hilarious stupidity. maybe its just me though...
