Hi everyone...you probably don't know me, I'm in year 10 at school right now. Today my computing class (which is compulsory) went to a (compulsory) IT seminar...one of the speakers mentioned in passing that nanobots are being tested on BABIES! in order to find the cause of stuff like cerebral palsy... Is this not DISGUSTING? How dare scientists assume the right to play with human beings like that, regardless of their age! We were also told that technology exists which may soon be used in fast food joints where when you call for or order at a fast food place, all your personal info is available to the person who takes your call! Info such as debts, DOB, family, job, health... Excuse me but WHAT THE HELL? Technology.... NO THANKS!
Yea, whats worse, having little robots in you, or having cerebral palsy, I'll take the robots that will only last a few hours probably, I do enjoy my life. And you don't like technology? I'd say cerebral palsy...they don't actually know what they're doing with those nanobots. Not a lot of research has been done and they're going right ahead with the experiments. I guess I didn't elaborate enough. What I meant by "Technology...NO THANKS!" was that I don't think we should be using technology which we haven't even researched properly so intimately on human beings, especially babies. Streamlight, I do realise I use technology everday but my main problem is with people who accept technology without thinking about it. What really bugged me about the other day is that all those kids my age were being told that nanotechnology was the key to a better society, that it could "cure" loads of other "diseases" like depression, shcizophrenia etc. What I meant to say is that technology scares me...even though I use it. I guess I was just a little worked up by the complacency I witnessed.
