how the fuck can people drink this stuff regularly? its so gross. every once in a blue moon its alright to have a rootbeer or ginger ale or something, but coke...mountain dew...big k....i see people drinking this shit all the time. it just makes me much thirstier....its so thick and sweet, its like drinking flavored corn syrup with bubbles. i mostly drink water, juice, tea, and beer. mostly water though. i'll have lemonade on occasion too, as long as its actually made with real juice (country time doesnt even really taste much like lemons)...i honestly can't remember the last time i drank any kind of soday, much less finish a whole damn 12 oz can of the stuff. what are your opinions? gross as all get out or nectar of the gods? so much sugar...yet there are people who drink nothing but coffee and coke all the time...all that caffeine....all that corn syrup....i don't know how people can even stand it.
man, have you ever tried that ginger soda...its the only kind of pop i like....but i've only seen it in a very few places, out in the sticks here in WV and part of KY, but up in the hollows...it's called Vernon's Ginger Soda.......it's not ginger ale tho...it's good as hell.....makes your stomach feel good too.....
:& I just finished off a can of Coke. You're right of course. It's not good for me, but then I've cut down from when I was younger. In university I drank 2 cans a day. I also porked up to 210 lbs. When I cut it out of my system, and working a summer on my first arky dig, I dropped down to 154 lbs. I'm now 175 lbs, but then I also lift weights quite a bit. Once in a blue moon is okay, but subsist on the crap.
I used to drink 2-4 cans a day, now I don't even miss it. After being off of it for a while it is just too much sugar now. The only time I have any soda now is if it has some rum or bourbon in it.
bluegill, you sure you don't mean vernors? i'm pretty sure its nationally available, it's a pretty big company. good stuff. my favorite rootbeer would have to be dog n suds, though. unfortunately this stuff is rather hard to find.
The thing is, caffiene is a diuretic, and it just makes them more dehydrated. If people drink nothing but this shit all the time, their liver won't be able to break down all that sugar and other chemicals efficiently. This eventually leads to the degradation of their metabolism, which usually hits them about 7-10 years later. The body can only take so much before it starts to break down. I personally don't drink soda or coffee, I drink water all the time. I drink beer on average about twice a week, and I always drink more water than normal the next day. Sometimes I do like to have a gatorade after lifting a bunch of heavy shit at work, or playing basketball.
For the last 3 months, all I've been drinking is water and juices. I love juices, juice is the new soda. I will drink Dr. Pepper, the pepper is great. All the ravers drink mt dew, the shit is like coke to them or something. Everywhere I look I see a raver drinking Mountain Dew. I do like this coconut soda my friend buys. It's in a big orange bottle, idk he name.
Water, gatorade at the gym, and diet rite because it contains splenda instead of aspartame. Just looking at a can of regular pop makes me sick.
i rarely drink any soda anymore. before college, i drank a lot. now, i barely can finish a whole can of coke. while at school, i didn't have any soda, even on fridays which for me was "grab all the nasty food night," i still drank water and/or juice. now i drink it sometimes, just for the caffeine, but when i do that, i make sure i'm hydrating properly. though i have family and soda is all they drink. i don't understand how they can live like that. its like they need the caffeine to live. argh, i couldn't do that. water, juice, gatorade is all i really need.
the same brands of pop in canada and US tases diferent. All American soda and cola tastes like shit to me, its the corn sirup you guys use. pop made in canada uses other sugars. not that its any better for you, it just taste better. Only colas have caffein in them up here. other sodas are not allowed to.
Don't forget milk for the calcium. If you are lactose intolerant or don't like the taste, there is always soy milk.
Heh...that reminds me...I need to start drinking more milk. But yeah, as for pop, I used to drink a ton...but then I stopped and I had one again, and I was just like yuck. lol eww. Now all I drink is tea, juice, water, and some coffee occasionaly. Ick...I feel kinda dehydrated today...I shoulda drank more water. Edit again...every now and then I'll have a rum and coke or something, but that's the only time I drink soda.
Soda fuckin' rules, i love it all! Pepsi, coke, sprite, root beer, mountain dew, and every other sweet carbonated beverage. I love it and it loves me and i'm not fat at all! Long live all colas!!! But if it's not your thing, then rock on!
