HBO's show Six Feet Under featured a bunch of peopel tripping on AMT tonight...they showed it in a pretty good light (a little TOO good I think, noone really had any bad affects, they all were acting like they were on MDMA) and they compared it to MDMA. What do you think of mainstream media portraying RC's?

they actually said AMT? that's crazy. i have only seen the first season of that show but it's pretty good. the first episode when claire smokes meth right before she finds out her dad got killed and has to go to the morge to ID the body.... "...and now i'm high on CRACK! GOOD! THANKYOU! FUCK!" i think they did a pretty good portrayal of that, later on she tells nate that she thinks she's having some sort of meltdown and she can't tell if its the drug or not. and then later on nate asks her if she's still high and her answer "i don't even know anymore" is pretty much how a meth come down is. at least when it was only your first time, which it was for her. anyways. as for your question, i'm not sure i like when they talk about research chemicals in mainstream media. i don't have a TV and i haven't had one since 1998 so i have to say i'm not exactly in the loop when it comes to TV stuff.... but i think mainstream exposure arouses curiosity in people who might not otherwise even know these drugs existed. this can be potentially good and bad. i can't remember exactly which substance it was but i remember it was featured on a show or movie and then shortly it became scheduled, because more people found out it existed so more people began using it and since most people are so careless.....
i wish i woulda seen the show. did they portray visuals at all, cause that does kinda sound like a bunch of AMT trippin fools putin bloody red handprints all over the walls. (coincidince: i did the same thing hyped up on a bunch of AMT. red handprints on the wall) weird.
They didn't show their AMT trip from 'their point of view'..just as an outside observer....in one scene when Claire was tripping she had to go to a dinner with her familly, and acted really funny! Last time i did AMT i had quite a heavy body load--they didn't really show that part..

From the sound of this thread, the show 6 feet under is mostly about drugs. I thought it was like dawson's creek or something, haha. I never knew that, or had I, I probably would love the show.
