Hey boys and girls. A buddy of mine is moving to Vancouver for a couple of years. I believe, though I am not sure, that they have de-criminalized the good bud in this fine city. I would like to know exactly how it breaks down. Couild you recommend a place or 2 to go out and get high. This guy and I got completely messed up in Sydney and Amsterdam. (I wanna get a three continent destruction going down with my buddy.) To anyone currently residing in Vancouver; both of us know how to behave, no matter how destroyed we may be, so that we do not embarrass ourselves or our respective nationalities (USA and England), and so that we do not impose any inconvenience upon our gracious hosts. Furthermore, we know our limits, and never get destroyed past the limit of basic motor functions. You won't see me crawling in the gutter, unless, of course, someone slips a couple of shots in my schooner of beer (Happened to me in Sydney, the bastards) I am always mindful of the law, and any time the law allows me to get stoned, I would like to take advantage of the situation. In that vein, anybody know of any bud friendly regions in the USA? Any advice would be graciously received, Fawkes
in the USA, Denver and California would have to be 2 of the most weed friendly places i can think of right now. and as for vancouver. digitaldj could fill you in on that.
well..what exactly are you looking for? like a place to smoke IN? a place to BUY weed? if u are just looking to smoke, and already have weed, hit up Stanley Park during the weekdays and just sit on the Sea Wall and smoke to your hearts content
Naw, it's kinda decriminalized in Canberra. Like the state will allow you to own two or three plants. But not in New South Wales (State that contains Sydney.)
Not sure what is available. I would like a place, like an Amsterdam coffee house. But I don't know if that is available. Obviously, not being a local I am going to need somewhere to buy some junk. Kind bud, good shit. And that about the sea wall by the park, no one will give any hassles to several dudes sitting around not causing any trouble? Just chillin and tokin? That would be excellent. There are a couple places u can go and smoke IN, like coffehouses etc. i only know of one, but i'm pretty sure there are alot more once u get to vancouver, head to west hastings and Beaty Street on that corner, there are quite a few stores/shops weed related, and "Amsterdam Cafe" which is on that corner as well is what your looking for, u can go and smoke in there, and most likely be able to find weed another place, although it sounds sketchy i know it works, is just down the street, in Gas town there is a pub/hostel which is called...umm..THE CAMBIE i belive is the name, but u will see it it has a big patio out front ANYWAYS, go inside and stand next to the joot box, and kinda scan the crowd, somone will wave u over and sell u some weed. as for toking in stanley park, it depends on when, like during the day it's very busy with ppl biking/roller blading etc. around the sea wall, so u probably either want to walk on one of the trails in the bush, or walk out onto the beach and toke but during the night, u can sit on a bench facing downtown vancouver [this view point is pretty much the first parking lot u go through driving through stanley park] which is an absolutely AMAMZING view, at night htere u can sit on any bench around there and just toke to your hearts content this is sorta the view, but it's much further along then where i would sit, u can only see the convention center, from where i told u to sit the first time, u can see the majority of the nice towers, and crazy lights lighting them: [EDIT: here is a better pic, this is what u will see but i cant really see the full effect of the night] thats all i can think of for now really, so if u have any other questions dont hold back
