Hi Frog... Long time no talk to... your re-done site looks great. Herbs make up a big chunk of my farm's business (income) too. I'm doing the supply the road side stands, small grocery stores, resturants, select individuals, health food stores type thing. I'm thinking about going onto the web. How's the web business doing? How do you ship? What about credit/debit cards - are they a hassle?

    Peace,

hello p.o.d.,the online store is doing pretty well so far.the sales are starting to come in.the store has only ben up about a week so we will see what hapens.i still sell more at markits ,grocery stores, and at our events at the farm.when i harvest our garlic this year we will offer that online allso,i suspect the mogority of our futchur sales will probly be garlic.i guess we will find out.credit cards arent a hassle as we use paypall.it exsepts credit cards and e checks and paypall acounts.its pretty easy for us and the costomer.if the costomer dosent have a credit card or a paypall account thats ok all they really have to have is a checking account.weve ben useing paypall for my photography biussness and evryone seems to like it.

thanks for viewing our site and thanks for your wonderfull coments.hope all is well with you and yours, have a great fall seson.sunshine to you

    Thanks Frog

    Very interesting stuff....
    How ya'll doing the shipping?

I'm thinking about a web site too. I'm already hooked up with paypal, but just can't decide about shiping. It'll be Fedex, UPS or post office. I'm leaning toward post office because they come by here 6 days a week and will send stuff to P.O. boxs. What do you think?

    Peace,

hi p.o.d.we use ups or the poast office depends on who is cheaper for that package.worning tho, when sending whole herbs use a box becouse they end up like powderd herbs by the time they get there.and for garlic i use buble wrap in a box.

hope your haveing a great weekend
    freedom to you

New here ... you family tree website is great. Very intriguing on the garlic pages.

I picked up some garlic from a woman thinning out her garden recently. It's a new venture, so I only grabbed about a dozen or less. I planted it a few days ago, but know very little about growing garlic. Can I expect a harvest this year? Or, is garlic a more time-invested crop?

Thanks in advance. BTW, I believe we're in the same growing zone, too, if that helps.
