Hi, Everyone!! I'm Bill, The Barefooted Beach Hippy, and as the name implies, I love goin' barefooted, and I love the beach, although Texas beaches are hardly pristine!! I'm 48 y/o, so while I was growing up in the 60's, I was still a bit too young to be as involved as I would like to have been. Well, that doesn't stop me from being the hippie that I am, but living in what has become a conservative Republican state (Texas), and in a small town with a heavy military presence, I do feel alone at times!! Now, here we are, midway into the first decade of the new milleneum, and it seems that the lessons that we should have learned from that era have sadly been lost and forgotten. Where are the outcries against oppression?? Where is the outrage against the Bush Administration and the government's steam rolling of our civil liberties, our Constitutional Rights, and the integrity of The U.S. Constitution itself???? Where is the rage against injustice?? Reminds me of the immortal lyrics of a most socially important song given us by "The Who" !!! Remember?? ....Then I'll tip my hat to the New Revolution, Tale a bow for the New Constitution, Smile and grin at the change all around, Then I'll pick up my guitar and play, Just like yesterday, Then I'll get on my knees and pray..... We Don't Get Fooled Again!! Peace Out, Bill
