 I looked throught all the posts and couldn't find what I was looking for.... I was looking for a hemp necklace that has a little bag in the middle (for bags, storage and other items) If anyone has any links or books that have this integrated necklace please respond.

P.S. I included a picture of what it could look like (I don't know if that would really work out or how I would go about making that[Im new so I don't know If I attached it right sorry if I didn't).

That wouldn't be hard to do, it just seems like it might be a little bulky and uncomfortable, especially if you had too much weight in it. But it can be done!

That still doesn't help me.... I have know idea how the little bag thing would be constructed and what style of knot I would need to use to do something like that???

Umm... well, you could just make a little bag out of a rectangle of fabric..... fold a rectangle in half and sew three sides, then add a drawstring or a button or whatever. You could either attach it with a clasp or ring like you would a pendant, or find a way to make the necklace around it. I would have to actually do it to really understand..... but it doesn't seem very hard.

You could also just make a long hemp necklace with whatever kind of bead you want, then make a drawstring bag and string it on there.... that way you could remove it if you needed to.

Can you crochet? I've made amulet pouches out of hemp this way.

You could do a little pouch by tying a row of square knots then keep doing that for about 6 or 8 inches. Then fold it in half and and whip the sides together with a needle and thread. Then tie on at the top corner and make a long chain of knots as long as you want to tie into the necklace.

    Hope this makes sense.

Not quite sure how you wanted the bag piece to be- I make these (hope I figured out how links work here)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/spiderallis/handmade%20jewelry/neckpouches.jpg hemp pouch necklaces by starting with a loop the size I want the bag opening to be, lark's head knot the bag threads onto this loop (# of threads must be divisiable by 4, ie 12, 16) and do an alternating square knot pattern until the bag is long enough and close off the bottom, lark's head the strap threads on and knot away. Hope it made sense, if not hopefully someone can translate. Those 2 in the pic are going to be for sale, they'll be on my website once I get it online, thinking I might have how-to's with pictures and all on there too.
