This weeks discussion: salvia & weed

Story: About a year ago I was at my friends house smoking weed. I have smoked weed before many of times, soo this isnt new. Anyways, my friend puts in another bowl and hes like " try this shit". At first I thought hmm.. probably some other type of weed( it was really just weed with a bunch of salvia sprinkled on top). Well i was too high at the moment which i didnt really notice. I decided to take the hit without even asking ( mistake on my part ) and he was like " hold it in as long as you can". After i exhaled he starts laughing saying " you just smoke slavia " . I had no idea what salvia was but man was i in for a good time.

My friend knows alot about the drug so he wasnt going to fuck me over , he just put a lil bit of salvia on top of the weed im talking around 50mg or a lil higher, nothing too crazy.

Back to the story...

I was completly in a whole different world. I knew i was in my friends room but i was leaving my body to go to a different place in time ( not sure if thats a good explanation). About a couple mins later im lying on the floor and it felt really weird. My body felt like it was falling ( picture yourself lying on top of a elevator and the elevator all of a sudden drops extremely fast ). I wasnt paranoid , it was more of a great experience. Then a couple mins later it felt like the earths gravity was not there anymore and I was grabbing onto the carpet trying not to get sucked out into space. AHAH good stuff.... my friend was sitting me so i knew i was safe the whole time... couple mins later i was back to normal yet i was still high so it doesnt really count as normal does it? ahah...

ok so now ive been researching this drug learning all about it and ive finally come to decide that im going to try it again not by myself but with my good friend ( another friend i know who hasnt tried it before)...

now i cant find any info on what i should be expecting while your high on weed plus salvia.... im trying to figure out if its safe enough to get high and try salvia or maybe i should just try the salvia first and not smoke any weed.....


whats your thought on all of this?

 

WEll...I just tried salvia for the first time tonight, and it was pretty cool...but one of my friends that smoked it with us freaked out reaally bad and like slammed his head into a speaker and shit falling down....so yeah........make sure you are somewhere there isn't anything breakable....or anything painful to you or your friend if ya fall

Interesting.. i have smoked salvia and weed but i guess i never thought of trying them together. I'd like to know how you think smoking them together compares with smoking salvia alone.

Hmmmm, interesting. Seems like the weed would either mellow or intensify some of the negative vibes salvia give me. I'll have to try it the next time I buy some.

i've tried salvia. that shit fucked me up. i was totally in another world. think i might try it again, also with a close friend.

 

I've mixed weed with salvia before, it didn't really have a significant impact on the trip other than making it more bearable.

 

yea weed with salvia mellows my trip. not goin gto do salvia again cause i took a massive dose(like a weed sized bowl) and had a terrible trip alone. now i'm just afraid of the feeling that a little bit of it gives me

 

is salvia worth it? i've been thinking about getting some, but is it worth buying?

 

I'm thinking I want to try it too. I mean, it's worth the money to try something new.

 

its totally worth it.... but the problem with salvia is you can over dose easily... the problem is people dont know how much to take or they dont have a weigher so they visually weigh the salvia .... i would go to a headshop that sells it and talk to them about proper dosage for a beginner and have them help you out deciding how much to take and buy and what to get.....

 

i tried it once but with alcohol too.

ah but i dont know, i never really enjoyed salvia, it doesnt last long enough

Where would one buy salvia considering one is not near a headshop?

 

haha excellent, its gr8 wen ppl get ace experiences from salvia as its always bein discreditted. yeah ur experience is similar to sum of mine, so much fun! yeah id advice tryin it again in a bucket (the best method for smokin salvia) an make sure everythigns quiet as noices an shit can sumtimes distract u from the main trip

an as for smokin weed with it, theres nothin u should be worried about if anythin it probably makes it safer as the person is more relaxed. just let salvia take u away an ull see its magic

 

I smoked a LOT of plain leaf salvia one time and felt nothing.. mustve been bad leaves.... but i bought some 10x and im assured its good and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how much i should smoke because i have no idea and i dont want to do too much

 

Salvia is a fucked up drug. I like it plenty but it scares the shit out of me. I fell into a personal mental vortex when I was on it. I was gripping my chair arms and screaming oh fuck rapid fire and my friends thought I was dying

 

I've had plenty of experiences with salvia, and salvia and weed.

For all of the people out there who haven't done salvie here are some tips:
1) Use a bong or bubbler. The water helps alot in holding the hit in and it makes the high hit you a lot harder i think.

2)Use a torch lighter, regular lighters don't heat the salvia up enough to release the Salvinorum-A

3) Be sure to use the Extract cuz otherwise its not likely your gonna feel anything spectacular. Also try to use at least 10x.

4) Choose your location and friends wisely.

The first time I ever did salvia I took a huge rip out of a homemade bong of 20x. Within like 20 seconds I was melting into the garage wall and going to a different world. From what my friends tell me I was drooling and couldn't respond. But I saw my reality joining other realities to make something. Then as I was comming down I just really wanted to get out of the place and I felt really claustrophobic. I kept on telling myself that I would never do salvia again.......10 minutes later I was wondering in my friends backyard thinking I was in a field of grass and at that moment the world started to split (Sorta like somebody was ripping a painting) and I couldn't stop laughing at this.

You can't really do salvia too often just cuz my friends and I have noticed that you build a up to a tolerance to it really quickly. I also have never had too many visual effects while I was stoned. My friend on the other hand took a huge rip of salvia when he was ripped in his backyard. He ended up hopping his fence because he though he Mario (like the video game character) and he was being chased by a spot light.)

So if it is gonna be ure first time make sure you're with people you trust, and try not to be with too big of a group of people, just because having like 10 people staring at you can definitely fuck with your trip.
