I fuckin love em... you? IMHO they are leading the very much needed musical revolution... i also enjoy their classic rock refrences, such as the bob dylan inspired song, joker and the thief and the purple haze refrence in dimension also their vid for mind's eye is a homage to floyd live in pompei i like this band alot I'm buying their double album on vinyl
"much needed musical revolution" If your taste in music wasn't inspired solely by Fuse and the radio, you'd realise how laughable this phrase is.
what revolution is needed? there are hundreds of bands making music today that are not on the radio that are far, far superior to Wolfmother (and there are even a few "mainstream" bands better than WM), and there have been thousands of bands like them these past 15 and some odd years. like i said, turn off Fuse, MTV and the radio. would this thread have been started if Wolfmother weren't a radio/tv band? so they make 60's-ish rock 'n' roll --- woopteedoo. i prefer The Redwalls, or The Vines, or BRMC (among radio bands that make 60's-ish rock 'n' roll).
when i say musical revolution... i mean mainstream... i mean sure there are tons and tons of wicked indie bands and shit, and tons better than wolfmother... but they are in the position to help change the mainstream... the point I'm making is... the day I turn on my tv and watch say... muchmusic for a couple of hours and dont hear one rap song... I'll be happy
do you know enough about me to say my taste is inspired by fuse (which i've never heard of) and radio (which i never listen to)? i found wolfmother through a friend... listened to the cd... loved it... then i just began seeing them everywhere
the way I see it is, They're a good band... and the fact that they're making it so big is great because it inspire more good rock bands to step forth, and we'll see some half decent music hit the main stream
yeah... avoid the singles called love train and woman... they're the worst 2 songs on the album... i still like them though... but listen to mind's eye... it's a good tune so of course it's not going to do good in north america
fuse = muchmusic i remember when it was called muchmusic here.... no idea why they changed the name. we have good radio songs all the time! lindsey lohan, for example. :H sorry for the judging, i just assumed you're like many of the hippies around here are.
