my vacant friend opened it's eyes to me all was hopeless but then i could see the motion of matter incomplete but all then i'll come to see her when alas the dunes fall it's all opened beauty like a rose though more pretty the invisible ocean known as the desert never leaves me there is endlessness here there is solitude and fear there are you and I there is death in the air our skeletons fall one motion i recall gentle rhythm hums the sand a single thought crawls through a vast open sea shore you awaken greet the order venture back to your ally to freedom to silence read the opening sky see kingdom see blindness inhale the desert's soul become ancient become old then gaze into the eyes of an estranged passerby the story begins a new the caravan continues
Wow dude, this is excellent writing. It has a sort of cadence to it that I really dig. it's all opened beauty like a rose though more pretty the invisible ocean known as the desert never leaves me Very nice. I could probably quote the whole thing, really, but I did really like how you wrote that.
growing up in the mojave i still have a love for the desert and reading a poem so well made about it was wonderfull, thank you
Thanks for all the lovely compliments. I appreciate every one. The desert has always seemed a mystical place to me where one can find themself or lose themself in an instant and I figured it was time i pieced together a poem about it. thanks again Kaivon
