When does consciousness begin? There are many things that are alive that do not have human type consciousness. Here is an interesting quote from an article on pre-birth brain development: All interesting stuff. Especially this part a little later in the article: Is this when the baby becomes fully conscious (is imbued with a soul)? The whole abortion argument is based on earthly (carnal) understanding anyways. God can create a body without a soul, and even if God did use a fetus to start the development of a soul, God could take the soul at the time of the abortion and raise it some other way (instead of in its mother's womb). The whole abortion argument comes from "christian" ignorance of God's power. "Right to life" proponents are a bunch of faithless pansies who don't really believe in God's goodness or power. That's because they are not souls. Fetuses are not conscious (at a human level) just like your body is not conscious (at a human level).

Jesusdied4u is right when he says those things are sins. That is biblical truth.
