We are in need of someone who is willing to help cut , move and split firewood (must know how to run chainsaw n drop trees.), clean chimney, mowing and weedeatting , small odd jobs, etc here on the homestead. This is not a fulltime type(6-8 hours per week from now ASAP til late fall) of thing and is nonpaying unless someone would like to earn a few bucks on the side helping with things beyond what we are looking for. We have a 30 foot rv with queen size bed, full kitchen ...dinner meal is made each nite , others meals you will be responsible for unless we work out details in advance. There is plenty of work in the nearby community for a person with the willingness to work. You would have to provide your own transportation. If you are interested please pm me or look at our website and then email me,,, all info is on website...
    Luv n lite dilli

if i had the time off i'd take you up on it just to visit the place but alas i have enough trees to cut here and a job that starts full time soon ....would be a good opportunity for some of the younger ones to learn what communal living is all about ...hope you find someone who has the experience of cutting with a chainsaw ........

i hear you on the have read about it and think they know how ..quite different reading about it and actually doing it ..........in this area the majority of the over 40 can do it because this province's major industries are logging and fishing but with the machines they have now there are less and less people cutting ........i have 76 acres here and another 50 acres 6 miles away .....have always done selective cutting and will probably have enough wood to last me a lifetime .at least for heating i will

hell yea you oughtta anyway.... :)unless ya build yerself a supercastle or something...
even folks my age its rare to have them know how to operate a chain saw,,,, atleast thats been my experience,,, and fewer women,,, unless they have grown up with wood cuttin n heatin or been raised by tree monkees. everything looks easy in books,,, even raising kids...:(... the two legged kind... that is,,, but they make the four leggers look thatway too;)

no silver platter here, i make my own......and don't need the slave labour of fools too gullible to know better to keep my home running

ain't there such a thing as the Minimum Wage law in the US no more?

15 hours a week, say at $20 an hour? do the math, that's what any fool can earn as a handyman/woodchopper.......

Even though im in debt to dilli right now for a fuck up of my own doing, I got to say esp to oz, no one forces anyone to do anything they dont want to do.

I spent a summer....One meal a day an' a bed for musclework? as you put it and even though with any group or family there is ups and downs.....its a summer I will never forget or regret.

I can just say this, if ya want a fair shake from some good folks....these the people.

If anything I could of done my part better while there.

So oz....aka (slacker) as I now deem you...get a life and stop putting neg. thoughts where they dont deserve to be.

Hey there HHB and Dilli, I think it's a pretty generous offer, but I'm still stuck in Missouri and it looks like we'll be here awhile. I have 60 logs of my own to cut and split. The logging company down the road just can't seem to make the curve next to our property. Chains break, and when they come rolling down the hill, all we have to do is cut em' up and split em'. Not fair huh? Anyway, if you find any Mexican families interested in coming to MO, let me know. Nobody around here even wants to work. Oh and to the fella payin 20 bucks an hour for a grunt...I think you need a reality check. Here, cuttin' and splittin' wood you get 8 bucks an hour. No meals, no insurance, no "thanks man, you did a good job", no place to stay, no internet, no good company, just a tiny little check.
