Plastic water bong question

My friend bought a water bong yesterday(plastic) and i had a question.

Would it be safe to use it in my basement, which is publicly used often? Would it leave a strong smell behind, or is it true that if you use liquids other than water it masks the smell?

 

It doesn't "mask" the smell. It just kinda alters it. Either way, it smells wonderful.

Ok, so if people are out of the house for about 2 hours, would it be safe to do it in my basement, or would the recognizable smell of weed be in the house?

 

it would be noticible unless you have a hell of a ventalation system. of course there are a lot of factors - none of us can say for sure. if you can clear the peice and cover the bowl between hits, exhale through a baffle and use ozium when you're done, it should be fine if you're very careful. but just smoking - forget it. only chance you'd have would be with a decent vaporizer.

one thing i can say for sure, you're at least better off with some sort of pipe than with a joint. but really, if you have two hours to smoke at you're leisure, just go outside so you don't have to worry about the smell.

 

if u dont have to smoke in ur house DONT it isnt a good idea if u live with parents that how i got caught and everybody i know

 

i think your forgetting that after the smoke travels from the bong to your lungs, that it doesn't just disappear. it is exhaled, which is what would make the room smell and not the bong itself....

 

make a spoof. mine works great. and i aim it out the window too which is even better. sit next to you window(if you have one) i dont think its that hard to smoke indoors. but thats just me. i dont know how big you basement is or how frequent your parents go in their. so like others said it would be best if you just toke in the backyard or something.
