me and my best friend just got back from a trip to florida about two weeks ago. before we left, i was really "dieting", eating really healthy, and excercising like mad. while we were down there we stayed with her grandmother who is Italian and also a grandmother, so we ate a lot of junk food (we felt bad if we didnt eat the cookies and cheesecake that she made for us even when we said we didnt want any) and i gained 4 pounds. since i've been back i gained about 10. i need to get back into my old habit of eating healthy and excercising, i just dont really have motivation (plus it has been raining and storming really hard every day since i have been back so i cant go running). someone please give me some motivation or advice.
Well, You just have to decide to do it. I know that sounds awfully simplistic, but it is true. Think about why you want to get back into your old good eating habits. Think about how you felt when you were eating less junk and more good foods. Then just start doing it. It is a habit, the only way to form one is just to continually do something. So if you want to eat right, you just need to start doing so. Write down all of the good things that come with eating a healthy diet and why you want to do it. Look at this every day to remind you. Remember when you are tempted to eat junk food, is this going to help you acheive your goals? Figure out what your goals are and write them down too. Then think of a way to reach those goals and reward yourself (not with food!) every time you reach them. Keep only positive vibes around you and healthy things/foods/hobbies. If you surround yourself with these things you will have no choice but to be healthy. But if you are always around junk and it is always a struggle to say no, then you will not have an easy time at reaching your goals. Good Luck.
