I have been saying all along that our government needs to include domestic terrorists on their "war on terrorism". Why? because I'm more concerned about the Tim Mcveighs of this country then I am about Saddam Hussein or that Al-zawquari(however it's spelled) not to mention,more people in this country are killed a day by gang members(of all races) then by imported terrorism. sure, gangs of LA havent killed 3000 in a span of 2 hours but how many have they killed this year? the past 10 years? and they target innocent people. It is more likely, that a white american male will bomb a US building or rain gun fire in a public place then an islamic man...and they do it...we have clinic bombings,university bombings,..ect.. one poster mentioned the KKK...while they aren't the numbers they used to be, they are still a violent movement that should be handled with the same zealousness as imported terrorists. we have these ELF people that havent learned that blowing up some cars is only gonna make you look stupid rather then like a threat.However, their lack of moral conscience is incredible when you consider their platform. yeah..they blew up some cars...but if anybody had been standing around they exploded..they could have been seriously injured or even dead. and the ELF never claims responsibility for actions that result in injury. they wait for the press release, when it's clear, they speak up. this is how they can claim that none of their actions ever resulted in death or injury.Unfortunately for them though, the general populace is not that stupid. I find it repugnant that we excuse the terrorism committed on our soil by our own kind simply because of race or religion...heck nationality.. A black gangbanger shoots up a resturant because some rivals are in there...it's gang warfare(meaning;simply local criminal act)....a Moroccan man shoots up a resturant because americans are in there....it's terrorism. ELF's entire point is to NOT get people hurt. They don't generally randomly blow up things with people in the area. You're last 3 sentences regarding them are completely bunk. Especially considering that they're "headquarters" usually get word of the vandalism before any other press does. Even so, comparing someone who sets a car on fire as compared to rasicts who INTENTIONALLY target innocent people isn't very valid.

It makes soldiers willing to kill, even when they don't have all that much personal motive or reason to kill. Politicians often hold wars for quite questionable motives. It would be inconvenient if soldiers refused to fight unless the cause were truly just. It makes soldiers willing to die for honour. You can then sacrifice them as cannon fodder when necessary.
