All music is beautiful. I don't care if its good charlotte, kelly clarkson, green day or fall out boy. Music saves lifes and that is so fantastic. These bands no matter how much I don't like them save peoples lives everyday. Kids can connect with them so well and it helps them so much and that is so awesome! I respect any band making music. Even if they are doing it just for money or for sex or anything. They save kids lives everyday. That makes me super happy. Music is so beautiful. People are so beautiful. I embrace all music with love and understanding. Being jaded about some kind of music is such a waste of time. I am over that. Love.
I'd go along with you mostly,right up until I reach orchestral hits of the 60's,then I'd have to say - 'NO!!' 'Please!!' 'NO!!' Thats where I draw the line.But your right it is a poweful medium.Some rap guy has just bought out an album thats all about being a suicide bomber and it's caused a colossal uproar in the news but i guess music is an artform,and he reckons everyone is missing the point he is trying to make: that the world has gone crazy.But I've been to many a bongo jam with 100 or more people and the feeling is like nothing else of this earth
I say it depeends on the music and what it's about before I'd say it's beautiful, but I definitely agree it's a powerful medium

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or ears and with so many eyes & ears beholding so many different forms of expression. music being one. i dont think any one here can consider their opinions any more worthy than anyone elses. when it comes to beauty their are no standards only stereotypes. in short you like wat you like that doesnt make it right or wrong
Actually, yeah... See, "beautiful" can be a lot of things. Bands like Slipknot and Korn feature beautifully hyper-saturated distortions on their guitars. If you're talking beautiful as in "melodically rich" beautiful, then probably not. But there are aspects in their music that is just as beautiful as "beautiful music". Of course, different people also find different things to be beautiful. Some people don't find Slipknot and Korn to be beautiful, and that's OK. It is OK, and I think that's one of the things Ryver's talking about here.
