My son, is very silly. He knows he's not supposed to play in the dog water bowl. We go rounds with this every day. He crawls over and plays in the water, I walk over and remove him from the area...... Well, now he crawls over and plays in the water, when I start walking over to remove him from the area, he tries to escape me! With a big goofy grin on his face! It's so hard to discipline them when they are being that cute. He even stops to make sure I am chasing him!
Don't ya hate it when they do something so cute. Last night I put Dakota in time out. All at once he whirled around and yelled "NO" as loud as he could. It was so funny I just cracked up. Trying to keep him from seeing me but I bout died laughing. Sometimes it's just too funny. Kathi
It sounds like maybe he is getting into the water bowl for the sole purpose of getting your attention! He probably thinks its a fun game to have you chase him - kids are such a riot! My son always acts up when he need attention, so I have been teaching him how to use his words to ask for some attention. But your little handsome guy is too little for that!
Well, I guess get him his own water dish so he can float his toys.... and play chase monster with him...While he is crawling, crawl slowly behind him growling playfully and saying "I'ma getcha!"...And when you reach him, tickle him.... That might keep him away from the water dish.
lol, leane does the same thing! i remove her, she goes back. yesterday i turned my back for one second, and she was 'splish-splashing' her hand back and forth, it was cute....the dog was looking at her like, "what the hell? that's mine." today, she attempted to eat his food.....oy
if my husband or i tell sky no. she either does it some more and says "No!" the same ay we do, or acts as if shes about to do it and says "No" usually while shacking her head....hahaha...so i know what you mean. its tough to stick to your guns, when they are so cute and funny. by the way, i finally can put a pic of my little sweetie~ we dont have a digital camara or a scanner, so the only pic i can put up are portraits~still cute though~~
Trey does that when he is cruising the couch to the table he is not suppose to be on. I start to go after him and he turns around starts laughing then almost runs towards the table. Probably my fault because I do 'chase' him a lot btw rainbow... your girl is absolutly gorgeous
Hippy landscaper this is a little off topic. But i had to tell you a cool experiment to do with sky. You take an empty bottle, puncture the side, Insert a straw and seal the edges with wax or putty. Now you need some Water/tub. Place baking soda and vineger in the bottle and replace the cap. We should all know how cool that is. This is so much fun for kids. The bottles will self propel like little boat. Kids just love this. Its super cheap to do. ANd safe just supervise of course.
LOL! All my kid did this. Thought it was reallly fun. As well as the "taking all the toilet paper off of the roll and stuffing it down the toilet" game and the "throw all the clean laundry on the floor and step on it" game and the "see just how big something has to be NOT to be able to flush down the toilet" game. Get him a nice size Rubbermaid container (always with 100% supervision, of course) fil it part way with water, place newspapers under it (or put it on the deck or porch or in the grass) and let him play with his toys in there. (Hint: You will probably have to hide the container when not playing with it, as he will most likely want to play this all the time) Water play is really good stimulation for a baby, toddler or even older kids. It won't completely stop him playing in the water bowl (cuz being "naughty" is funny, when you are a baby or toddler.....or a teenager) but it may cut down on it.
That sounds pretty cool, I'll have to try it. Maggie Sugar, Skye doesn't get much of a chance in the bathroom (kitty litter box is in there). He does like the throwing laundry on the floor game, and the knocking over the trash can game. He loves the tub though, I am going to have to try the bottle boat.
