Thats the one thing about loosing weight... boobs go too which is really sad when you don't have any like me to begin with. Even at my heaviest weight I was barely a b cup and now, well, now I don't exist in the area except for the slightest hint of a curve. And I love breasts, why can't I have them :(

I have found in all of my years up and down the scale, that the way to lose weight is to be happy with who you are at the weight you are currently at. It takes hard work, there is no magic anything to make you lose weight. It is a mind game. If you are constantly putting yourself down, and never happy, it makes it all that much harder to lose the weight.

As far as how much exercise, simple formula calories in vs calories out. Figure out how many calories you need a day to live, then add in your activity level without exercise. There are these formulas all over the net. Ok so this is how many calories you basically need to keep your weight the same. Then take off 500 calories from that a day. It could be cutting food cals by 250 then exercising for another 250, or what have you. You can figure it out. Some people like exercise more than eating, and vice versa.

Do cardio and weight training. The rollerblading idea is good, especially if you are on the west coast (no one on the east coast rollerblades any more and people give me funny looks when they see me out there). Things like sports or activites that you like that don't feel like exercise. Going to the gym to do cardio makes me want to barf. I would much rather play volleyball for a few hours. And don't forget to do strength training. I have a client who never does her cardio, but she does her upper and lower strength workout with me 2 times a week and she has lost over 30lbs the past few months. And she hasn't changed her diet at all either.

Also, if you crave something, like carbs for example, try cutting it out of your diet for a while and see if you still crave it in a month say for instance. Try really really hard and only make it one thing. I stopped eating any and all chocolate and after that I never craved it again. I could have a whole chocolate cake on my desk and throw it in the trash or give it away. I haven't had fast food in about 5 years and the thought of it makes me ill. I have to pass fast food places on my way everywhere and they just make me cringe. Barf. Since I'm competitive though, it has become a game I play in my head, see how long in my life I can not have fast food. LOL. I'm nuts I know.

Sometimes we aren't as hungry as we think we are. The next time you think you are hungry think about eating protien. Like a huge steak or something. If that does not appeal to you, then you might not be hungry but rather just craving comfort food.

PS I only drink high calorie dark beer too. Light beer is a waste. :)

    Good Luck everyone.

im a fat girl on the inside...and a proportionate girl on the outside. i am not skin and bones, and im not obese...just chubbyu. and i eat whatever i want. im healthy and very happy.
i say eat whatever you bloody choose. you only live once...in this life. a piece of pizza here or a slice of key lime pie there is NOT, i repeat NOT going to hurt you or your appearance one tiny bit. especially when you excercise as much as you do.

The cravings are getting less and less. I found a really easy way to eat less high-calorie food. I eat as many raw fruits and veggies as I want before a meal until I am full and then wait half an hour and eat normal food. I eat sushi for at least one meal a day and I get low fat desserts that I split with a friend.
The gyms getting easier and easier and I'm slowly taking off the 15 pounds I gained back. I bought a two piece yesterday...I haven't been able to wear one for about two years. I am sooooo excited to wear it!
but I still feel like a fat girl on the inside and I'll always have fat girl loyalty lol

Yes, it is hard to forget the past and see yourself for who you are now. A lot of people who lose weight still feel like they are heavier when they look in the mirror. That is why you should start loving how you look at every size because it does make it a lot easier to accept yourself. Having confidence in yourself is what is going to help you acheive your goals. And re-evaluate what you are looking for. If you want to be stick thin, well there are ways of going about that, but if your goal is to be healthy, you might not ever attain the weight you are looking for. You can still be healthy though.

PS. eating whatever you want whenever you want is most certainly not healthy. Neither is depriving yourself. A happy medium is what I suggest. (and never fast food, but that is just my personal choice).

rg: I'll beat you up the hill! ;)

I hate fast food, never really liked it. The thing is that I was really skinny and never had to worry what I put in my mouth until I hit about 20 or 21 and then it all went down hill. It's a hard adjustment always being athletic and slim and then having your body change on you, one I'm finally accepting but still it kinda bites.

ps-you wont beat me up the hill I got my mile time down to a little under 8 and that's on the trails...it's on woman d:
