Hi, I don't consider myself to be a real hippie, and quite frankly I guess I don't know what it truly means. I see a lot of people bashing others for not being a "true hippie" which feels like they're contradicting themselves. Wouldn't it be much easier to tell them what they consider a real hippie? Though I suppose I know a few teenagers who seem to be ruining the image, and just do drugs all day to get "messed up" rather than explore their minds, and they call themselves hippies. I could see how one like that could get on a few people's nerves. However what I am, is a young man who is open minded, and like some of the discussions going on here. I'm semi politically active, I can't vote yet, but I write my senators/E-mail them on issues such as Net Neutrality and some restricitive gaming bills being passed. I joined this forum to understand the culture, to understand what freedoms are being struck down, and most of all to meet positive people! My name is Kellan, I'm 17, and enjoy the world.
