I'll be trying LSD with my friend sometime next week. We are taking 2 hits each. about $10 a hit. Just wanna know some tips/pointers or w.e. From what i know it lasts almost all day, so we were going to do it before or after lunch depending on what would be better, aka does food taste better on lsd? kinda like weed? if not we'll wait till aftr. And i guess itll last around 6-10 hours. Were prolly just gunna watch tv go outside and eat food , lol the usual. Any way any extra tips will help ty! btw yes we have read everything on erowid.
I would say eat a few hours before you take it. LSD does not give you the munchies, more like the opposite (Not like food tastes bad, but you just don't have an appetite).
nooo don't waste such an experience on TV. Listen to music - for me, music has always been like half the experience. I also suggest smoking some weed just before you drop, and/or during the trip. Food is different on acid - not the munchies, but it does effect the trip - it's kinda "different" - that's all I can say to explain it. But music is amazing - you'll understand.
when your on a trip, being outside is the most gnarly experience, me and my buddy were running around my block for a good hour screaming, because we thought the trees where going to eat us, it was scary but mad fun.
at this price they might be good hits...so keep in mind it could be a strong experience with 2 hits, which could surprise ya. Dont have plans have fun
when acid kicks in for me, im given something i've called "the knowledge", it's like explaining to a blind person what it's like to see. constant incoming messages, a stream of sub-concious information running a little too fast to process. This has been in words, sound (music) and even closed-eye visuals. for open eye visuals, i need to drop quite a bit of acid but i've got lost in trips over-induced with acid before and sometimes it's hard to "return". as for the food thing, i didn't seem to taste the food, but tasted the texture of the food - that was weird. the music idea is the best - mind you - any drug mixes well with music. even alcohol for christ's sake. the pleasant dizziness/sense of contentment and visualisations from your mind's eye are my personal standout favourites of acid.
-Be sure you have at least 20 hours free. The tripping is likely to be about 8 hours, and you're likely to be distinctly high for 12 hours. You'll probably need a good 8-hour sleep afterwards, for a total of 20 hours minimum without any outside responsibilities. An extra day off with friends/family is strongly advised afterwards. -Many people report that sensitivity to things like hunger, thirst, and need to rest- or recognition of the need to use the restroom, etc., is reduced just slightly. Take care of yourself while you're otherwise enthralled with everything in life -Be around people you trust totally, completely, 100% in any situation. Most stories of "bad vibes" leading to "bad trips" are ridiculously exaggerated (actually marijuana is at least as likely to bring on those feelings, and probably far more so), but if you're around people you know/trust, you have no reason to seriously worry anyway. -If early-on you feel nervous, jittery, cold, shaky, weak- like those feelings you have when you come down suddenly with The Flu- don't freak out and think you got "bad acid" or something. Those feelings are entirely normal and are well-documented in the LSD research literature. If it happens, just wrap up in a blanket, listen to music, and understand that it's normal. It always passes, if it happens at all. -If there are things in your life that lead you to feelings of guilt, etc., you're very likely to obsess on them while tripping. This isn't pleasant. Get your life in comfortable order before trying psychedelics, or the trip will ensure that you do so later All this just my opinion, I do not advocate any use of any mind-altering drug ever for anyone under any circumstances, though I do honestly believe that psychedelics are, overall, beneficial to humankind.
eat lunch an hour or so before, it's good to have some food in you before to prevent nausea. with me, a slight nausea is kinda normal but it's not a big deal. the idea of eating while on it is just to foreign/funny to me, i usually can't do it. be prepared...to laugh a lot. fuck this thread is so old you've probably done it by now.
