Growing indoors

    Next seamester at school im going to have a room to myself, its a sweet setup. Anyways, would growing some vegies and fruits inside be viable? If so what could i grow?

    most fruit and veggies need direct sunlight outdoors. You could grow a pineapple top indoors, but it will take years to bear fruit. If you have a porch or balcony, you can grow just about anything in containers. Or maybe you could get a grow light setup (doesn't have to be the fancy expensive ones, just get two fluorescent bulbs, one "warm" light and one "cool")

    Some herbs can be grown inside. I'm growing basil in a pot indoors but it receives lots of light near south and west facing windows.
