I'd like to play a game,
    That is so much fun,
And it's not so very hard to do,
The name of the game is Simple Simon says,
And I would like for you to play it to,
Put your hands in the air,
    Simple Simon says,
    Shake them all about,
    Simple Simon says,
    Do it when Simon says,
    Simple Simon says,
And you will never be out.
    Simple Simon says,
Put your hands on your head,
    Let your back bone stretch,
    Simon says,
    Simple simon says,
Put your hands on your head,
    Let your back bone stiff,
    Simon says,
Put your hands on your head,
    Simple Simon says,
Bring them down by your side,
    Simple Simon says,
    Shake them to your left,
    Simple Simon Says,
Now shake them to your right,
Put your hands on your head,
    Simple Simon says,
Bring them down by your side,
    Simple Simon says,
    Shake them to your left,
    Simple Simon Says,
Now shake them to your right,
    Now that you have learnt,
To play this game with me,
You can see its not so hard to do,
    Lets try it once again,
    This time more carefully,
And I hope the winner will be you.
Clap your hands in the air,
    Simple Simon says,
    Do it double time,
    Simple Simon says,
    Slow it down like before,
    Simple Simon says,
    Ah, your looking fine.
    Simple Simon says,
Now clap them high in the air,
    Simple Simon says,
    Do it double time,
    Simple Simon says,
    Slow it down like before,
    Simple Simon says,
    Ah, your looking fine.

personally i'd listen to some zeppelin. that's just me but their songs are amazing and they're a mix so you could easily find an upbeat song to rid of the sadness.

start out with some heartwrenching stuff like pj harvey or joy division (toburn out grief)then work your way out/up and listen to something a lil more uplifting each day...sooner or later new order, 80s dance music and david bowie will have you hula hooping and dancing all around the house that you will eventually forget your sorrow-music is a healer and a curse so be careful

Indeed, I love listening to Nirvana. The whole nevermind album is the one I listen to when I'm pissed off or heartbroken. Kurts voice is amazing.

I love sad Train songs. Their indie rarities are so full of emotion ... their frontman/songwriter has had so many heartbreaks that half of his songs are about it. I love to listen, because it reminds me that I am not alone in my despair. :)

But it doesn't spoil the music for me at all. In fact, it improves my enjoyment, because I can listen later and say, "Yeah ... man ... I know where you're coming from."

    I agree on this.

my resort is to the blues medium. I have mucho blues music and they get right into the why and hows and what to do's about relationship mess ups.

Also I like some country stuff particularly Willie Nelson whom I am very fond of. "Forgiving you is easy, but forgetting takes the longest time." those kind of things make me understand that my feelings are not unusual no matter what my friends, or family, who can't feel them tell me.

Being hurt in a relationship is very common that is why so much music is devoted to it.

Having said that I am in love now, for what I believe is the first time in 6 decades, and it is a marvelous thing. I hope that I never have to get over it.
