Dark Star

i'm not sure if this would be considered a short version or a long version

but i just found a version of Dark Star that's 1 hour and 10 minutes long

 

is it the edited together version of all the eras of Darkstar? or is it a full darkstar from a show? because that is long! the longest i've ever heard is like 35minutes....

 

shortman420, is the mammoth darkstar you recently found from 5-11-72?? If it is that is the greatest, and possibly the longes ever.

To solla. sollew., the Grayfolded is the edited together and reconfigured parts of Darkstars from all eras.

 

nope, it's from september 70

and no it's not edited together it's a live show

 

That sounds like a great version of Darkstar, where did the show take place short-man?

still that is insane. the longest jam of darkstar i have is 35minutes at most....so this will be an adventure...

 

It must be feb. 11 because they didn't play a show on that date in november.

Here is the show - you can stream it, and I believe Duame Allman comes in on slide guitar in the middle. It also says "Noted Flaws: Dark Star has abrupt splice/cut at approx. 6:57" so thats a bummer. Awesome sound quality though.

 

yeah this version is with Duane Allman and Peter Green, so that's probably it, and yeah i meant February not January

 

hey rphishin, do you know where to download the one from 05/11/72, i'd like to listen to it, thanks. and the dark star from 11/02/72 is only 12:26 ???

 

check out 12/4/73...darkstar runs about 42 minutes...quite a journey

 

I think I have every complete SBD in circulation from 68-71 at home, so I probably have 2/11/70 there. I usually skip dark star unless I'm liquidamafied but I might have to check that out for duane and peter green. Won't have that PC back up and running til august 1st though... bummer. 2/11/70 rings in my head for some reason; is there a mason's children on it?

 

I just looked it up and that may be one I was inclined to pass by due to it not being complete. but duane and peter green mmmm maybe I need to get that lol.
