ive been stuck in pittsburgh(sent here for getting busted with drugs) for the last 5 weeks. and i only hvae 2 more left. so i was pretty damn happy. now i will finally see my friends again and my summer can actually start.

BUT, now all of a sudden my mom says i cant come back unless i cut my hair short. this is really pissing me off cause i look like a fag with short hair. and she never cared about it till i got busted. now she says i look too much like a druggie with long hair. but i dont care if i look like a stoner. i like the way i look.

plus i dont think shes being fair at all. if i was a girl she wouldnt care how long or short my hair is. i think i have just as much of a right to have long hair as my sisters. so what, i have a penis, o well. its not on my head so i shouldnt have to be treated diferently. its my body, not hers. its my hair and i have a right to decide how my hair is gonna look. im not doing crazy stuff with it like dying it pink and getting spikes and mohawks and shit. its just long hair just maybe and inch past my shoulders.

so fuck. i want to go home, but i also like my hair. its taken me 2 years to get it how i like it. i dont want it any longer. i like it the way it is. and shes way to close minded to even listen and hear me out. FUCK

 

so get emancipated.

 

I don't know if you can tell her this or not, it might make her mad - but a haircut doesn't really make a difference when it comes to personality/behavior.

So just because you have long hair - doesn't make you a stoner. You might still do drugs, but your hair isn't going to change anything.

It's probably a control thing on her part, she feels like she can control you through your hair.

and yes, she is extremely controlling. thats why my dad divorced her. and i dont blame him. shes always using that poor me poor me shit. "i need sympathy cause im a single parant for 13 years (though she has never looked or dated a guy at all, is waiting for someone to come to her) i need sympathy cause my son does drugs and isnt a super conservative catholic." always trying to guilt me by saying that shes "scarificed so much for you" when really, shes been getting $2000 a month from my dad for child support, gets money from her parants if she needs it, owns her own house, eats out 3 times a week, redid the deck, fence, kitchen, bathroom, built a bedroom in the basement and a bathroom, new furniture. so obviiously she has enough money to throw around. god damn, shes selfish. but o well. 3 years and im out

 

its way less hard than you'd think. i haven't lived with my folks since i was 16. and now our relationship is great.

 

I'm sorry. Well, perhaps you could compromise? Get two inches off, rather than all of it?

i skipped a grade, graduated at 16, moved to vancouver with a buddy who was 23. worked and partied a year, did some hitchhiking, and then started university.

damn, i cant do that. if i wanted to get emancipated, id have to first ghet my drivers lisense, be at least 16 almost 17 to get a decent job and find a friend whose parants would let me live in their house and pay rent.

ill only do that if my mom kicks me out again. but do you need a real good reason to tell the courts? cause i dont have a real great reason, just that my mom doesnt like me and i dont like her

 

i didn't tell any courts - my folks let me go, i'd finished highschool. the apartment was under trogi's name, and you don't need anybody to sign for a job.

Until you're 18....according to the law, you don't have the right to have any say over anything. Maybe it's a shit thing....but c'est la vie.
So, having pink, spiky/mohawk hair makes someone a bad person and you having long hair doesn't? Right....I had every color imaginable on my hair growing up....and I was a pretty fucking righteous person. Don't diss someone for having that kind of hair if you don't want the same to happen to you because of your hair.

If you want to go home, stop being a baby and cut your hair. It's just hair....trust me, it will grow back.

your missing my point. i never said people with mohawks are bad people. but it is gonna get parants more upset. i dont associate long hair with girls, she does. guys have the right to long hair too. and i wouldnt mind as much if my hair would grow back. it would piss me off cause my hair doesnt grow real fast, but she is saying to keep it short. and believe me man, i do want to get out. not just because of this, that would be fucking dumb. for many other reasons. but as i have no place to go right now, im kinda stuck
