I can appreciate the skill it takes to make it, but it doesn't change the fact that its ugly as hell IMO.
How is this in bad taste? If there ever was such a thing as glass-art, this is it. Just look at it, it may be a pipe, but it is also a depiction of major characters and events that have had an effect on the world we live today. If you are going to go around calling art offensive, which is bullshit anyway, then there are many other pieces I would start at first. Personally I think the pipe is pretty sick. If I ever had that I don't think I'd smoke out of it. It seems like a pretty cool conversation piece or something.
I think its in bad taste because its in bright red, white and blue... I think the coloring could be done better even if the patriotic look is what the artist is going for.. nothing to do with censorship... it just doesnt look like nice colorwise to me.
