driving me crazy. my mum wanted me to treat it by doing a hot-oil thing, combing it all out, and using medical shampoo. not a chance[IMG] I had to use that medicated stuff before my hair was dreaded, in an attempt to fight dandruff, but all it did was irritate my scalp. anyway, no chance I'll be combing out my hair because I'm too attached to what I've already got, and I reckon it would be painful. and I don't want to be using the harsh chemicals in the shampoo. I do have something called Scalpicin though, which seems okay-- has tea tree oil, aloe, and cortisone, which you apply to the scalp a few times a day. is this okay, or is there something better I could be doing?

yeah, it does. It's basically just eucalyptus oil, menthol (mint oil), and tea tree oil anyway, natural astringents/antiseptics in an alcohol base. Might have thymol in it too, thyme oil. Works great on dandruff even when the medicated shampoos won't work! does leave your head stinky, though.... :)
