the hills have eyes

has anyone seen this movie.....i thought is was a good movie....but then again there are movies that i like that others don't because they do not understand them

 

I didn't like and I don't see how this one would be hard to understand. It just sucked especially the ending.

 

the ending did kinda suck a little...but then again they left an opening for there to be a sequal

 

i just remember being extremely groooooooossssed out!

Man, the hills have eyes remake sucked ass, the original was so good and this one had a good director, but it still managed to suck.

the end did suck. Why does the little runty one in films always end up killing 100 evil people and saving the day? It's ridiculous.

 

Its o.k. but like stated earlier the originial is where its at. I dont belive that Alexandre Aja is a good director at all though.

 

I believe he is a really good director, Switchblade Romance (High Tension) is a brilliant movie. Although obviously the Hills Have Eyes remake could never match the original, i thought he made a fairly good fist of it. It was far from perfect, but what exactly do you expect from a remake? At least it kept a geniune horror atmosphere running through it, unlike say, Hostel.

 

^ how is high tension a brilliant movie? Everybody keeps saying that to me. I think its the worst peice of rubbish to hit the screen for a while, there is no plot, the twist was totally easy to predict, and the whole movie was in french.urrrgg.

 

Judging by your comments, i'd suggest that it's probably too sophistacated for the both of ya's. Still, each to their own.

Dude, totally agree with ya. Switchblade Romance is a fantastic film. I thought the end was a wee bit disappointing though, it just got a bit too silly once they were in the van.

 

Why are you calling it switchblade romance? that was its production title, it was never released under that name, if your trying to be unique and call the movie by its original title, its Haute Tension.

High Tensions is a great freaking movie, im actually listening to the song Newborn that was in it.

 

We're English, and the film was released over here as Switchblade Romance for some reason. Maybe cos High Tension sounds like a Mel Brooks movie.
"Just Another Girl" is my favourite song from the film personally.

 

It was named perfectly as High Tension indeed! The first time i watched it i was engrossed, even though i thought it got silly as soon as the father's head got knocked off by the piano, but y'know, this is horror so you gotta go with it don't you? And yeah, the twist was stupid, but i kinda got into the whole over-the-top-ness of it just because damnit i want to see gore, and it was about as gory as it could be, right? Not quite sure how else they could have ended it, but spraying blood and girls kissing does ok for me, sorry if that's a bit shallow.
