I'm from small, middle of buttfuck nowhere mountain town BC... it's seriously a town built on the side of a mountain, with teeny tiny little subdivisions anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes away throughout the mountain, across the valley, up the lake, etc. When we get "busted"... well, for one, we NEVER get busted just for smoking. I can seriously walk down Main Street in the middle of the afternoon smoking a joint, and if a cop pulls over, they'll just say "Excuse me, can I please ask you to take that to a park or something?" Yes, they've said it before. The only things you really get busted for here are dealing and growing... if you DO get busted with weed (by young cops on hardcore power trips) they literally take it, stomp it into the ground, and MIGHT take any pipes, etc. that you have with you (they almost never bother). So, how bad is it where you live, if you get busted? Do you worry about getting busted smoking it, or just dealing or growing? I know if you get busted dealing here, you're not looking at much, either... maybe a slap on the wrist, and the cops might watch you a little harder from that point on, for a couple months anyway. If you get busted growing, it really depends on what you had. If I had anywhere from 1-5 plants (maybe even closer to 10) and cops came by, I'd probably laugh and be like "Come on in, check out my FIVE PLANTS..." and they'd probably just walk out, or take the plants, grow equipment, etc. and possibly a small fine. That's about it. One of my friends said he was in a house that got busted in one of the next closest towns, Nelson. We call it Land of the Fruits and Nuts because, as everybody says (and it's true) it's just FULL of hippies and queers. He said the cops waited until the kids (himself included, he was a youngin) went off to school, came in, took down the plants and grow equipment, asked if they had anything else, and then apologized for having to take their shit. They didn't bother to CHECK if they had anything else, which included their personal stash (which was laying right out on the table) and a couple pounds in a closet. If they looked at a bedroom/closet door and didn't see light under it, they didn't bother to check. He also said he was in another bust where they took all of their plants and lights, etc... their personal stash, right down to the scissors and papers and everything. But it was in a more 'conservative' type of town with young power-trip cops. So, just out of curiosity, especially from people in other provinces and the States... what happens if you get caught smoking, dealing or growing?
in the UK? smoking... nothing, just get ignored. growing? noone cares, cops just dont bother unless it's a major grow, if not they wont even check it out dealing? similair to growing. small scale, noone cares. large scale, the cops will step in.
well, boothy basicly sumed it up for the uk- but i still tend to keep my smoking low key, better safe than sorry right- ye. but its not the coppers im afraid of but incase i smoke in public sum1 might recognise me or my friends and then from 1 person to another it will eventually reach my mum who will go crazy- literaly lol. but dealing is fsairly tight- as no one deals in 'small scale' in very urban areas- so whatever
yeah im more worried about my mum than the cops, the UKs a pretty good place for weed.. pretty accepted, and as long as it causes no problems then cops dont care
Mid Missouri, mid-west, USA. Smoking - public smoking is not the easiest to do. You can drive and smoke, and just don't make a big deal out of it. If no one sees you, it's cool. I've heard of people parking somewhere and smoking, someone smelling it and calling the cops. Seriously. Growing - risky move. It can be done, but don't get caught. Dealing - If there's a bust, you're on the front page of the paper. Mugshot and all. Just last month there were three people arrested, but it was mainly meth that they had. Missouri is number one in the country for meth. The cops aren't that cool around here. I'm sure there's one or two that are relaxed about it, but not overall. Last summer my friend got arrested after the cop made up a story about shooting fireworks at dogs to search his car, didn't give him the chance to say no, although Jonah still should have. The other cops didn't know what she was talking about, and one wanted to let him go for half a bowl of shake.
Florida well.. it's pretty fucking bad here, pretty much the same as theshaman's but i need to add that when caught not only are you looking at possile jail time, you're totally fucked for scholarships
If I remember correctly, when we were doing taxes and Fafsa, I looked up the part about drug convictions, and I believe you just had to put down what it was and your punishment and I think you were good again or something.
Lets just put it this way, don't get caught doing any of said above things, or your probably gonna be fucked in the ass, especially for growing and dealing.
it's pretty much just smoking kids ages 12 or 13 to like maybe 20. not a lot of adult atoners around here. usually the kids just get kicked out of school and their parents are told to get them some help. it's a load of bullshit really, i just hope i make it to my first apartment without getting busted.
growing gealing u can go big time and smokin u can end up in police office aand sleep the night or somn and they want u to tell them a lot of names
god, the cops in utah (and ive heard this from people out of state, so its not just in my mind) are the worst, one joint will get you locked up for bout half a year and then pissin in a cup well into the next year
