    Pendarvis Farm, Portland, OR

Experience the 8th Annual Pickathon Roots Music Festival at

the amazing 80 Acre Pendarvis Farm festival grounds near Portland, OR.

If one was to summarize what Pickathon is all about they

    might say the following:

"Pickathon provides one of the best summer festival lineups

and overall experiences of 2006 in a framework that is dedicated to

    promoting environmental sustainability."

The Lineup for 2006 obviously continues a commitment to the

finest in Roots music anywhere in the country with daytime and late night

performances on three stages from the following artists:

Iris Dement, KellyJoe Phelps, Greg Brown, The Wood Brothers, Darol Anger, CJ Chenier and theRed Hot Louisiana Band, The Avett Brothers, Martha Scanlan, Danny BarnesCollective, The Wailin' Jennys, Kris Delmhorst, The Wilders, The Earl Brothers, The Everybodyfields, Stairwell Sisters, Juanita Family Band, Trash Can Joe, Little Sue, The Packway Handle Band...and yes, the World Famous Friday Night Psychedelic Square Dance.

The new site at Pendarvis farm is going to become legendary

in a short time after folks get to see the beautiful stage and site design,

lush meadow and forested campgrounds, onsite hiking trails, views of Mt.

Hood from the audience, food and craft vendors, shaded beer garden, musicbeing played everywhere, workshops, family camp, kids activities, and a lot more.

Pickathon is focusing on becoming a leader in Green music

festivals through a host of initiatives that include; an alternative

transportation plan (Take Local Mass Transit to Pickathon on a Bio Diesel

Shuttle, Travel to Portland without ever Renting a Car, Bike Routes, and

Carpool Match), renewable energy carbon offset credits, recycling, green

beer, and partnering with a variety green sponsors.

No way should anyone miss their opportunity to be a part of Roots music history.
