I had higher hopes for this forum. It's hard to find a musical community and it turns out this does seem to be one of them. I am open for my mind to be changed on this. Blessings Sebbi
I am. I write lyrics. Play guitar and sing. Though I am not too good at that stuff, I like it so I dont care
Somebody (not me becuz I can't spare the $10 right now so maybe I should shutup) should start a musicians forum.
I'm a musician. Play Sax, Fag and Piano, a bit of clarinet as well. Do all sorts of stuff, classical, jazz, pop, Irish traditional as well. I'm also big on composition and arrangements in all sorts of styles. I've done songs, pop tracks, Bigband charts, Chamber music, Orchestral stuff, and at the moment I'm in the middle of writing a latin mass for church choir. One of the things I really can't do is write lyrics, so I always pounce on the chance to set someone else's lyrics - luckily a friend of mine gave me a shedload of stuff she'd written one night while she was feeling a bit down so I had a lot of fun making songs out those. I'm on a music and sound recording course at university, so I can't wait to get into the studios with those.
I am. I play flute, cello, piano, mallet percussion, violin, guitar, but I really only play oboe (and mallets) now.. I'd really love to pick up bassoon though. I don't know how the hell to actually acquire a bassoon, though. I might end up being a music performance major... probably in oboe or something else very double reedy
i play keyboards, im into both jazz and rock. i play in a rock band. http://www.aloofhosting.com/unspokenthings/index.htm
click on the link below and listen to the clips on the music page. Numbers 5 and 7 are me singing the songs that i wrote. You can also sign the guestbook of course.
I play guitar, cello, fiddle( alittle), bass, tuba, piano, banjo(a little). I'll try to play anything given the chance. I also get stuck on lyrics however can write music for them just can't write em
I know what you mean. I played on the school fag (ghastly instrument) for about 5 years before I finally got my own. I got my Grade 6 on it though, it was hard work keeping it in tune, - it was all over the shop. The key work wasn't easy and top notes just wouldn't happen. Then I got my new instrument about 5 years ago. It's all good now! Yep, fags are expensive but maybe you could get one on a hire-purchase scheme.
I've been wanting to pick up madolin, is it really hard? I'd like to play Mandolin and maybe start on Banjo.
I play the bass, i can play basic chords and stuff on guitar, and piano, and i can almost sing. I mostly stick with bass guitar. I wanna get a steel drum.
I like to pretend I am I have a pretty steller but very unpollished voice and I'm getting fairly decent on my djembe (african hand drum)
Not trying to self-advertise, but I run a personal forum made for musicians A link is below in my signature... I myself am a devoted musician, hoping to become something more in the future, and my two mian instruments are sax and bass
