    Basically evrything maggie said, lol
I have a snuggli that's a back and front carrier that has all them straps and buckles. Leane doesn't like it all that much because it's not all that accomidating...she has a big belly and there's no room for exansion...same thing goes for her legs!
I just finished sewing a ring sling. I haven't had too much of a chance to use it yet, but from what I have, it's great. Leane loves to be carried on my hip, but is next to impossible to just plain hold, so that makes us both happy!
I have been ring slings at walmart that are REALLY padded and actually very comfortable, and they're about $30. If you're not too confident in sewing, I'd recomend that. Jolly jumper is the company that makes that one.

When we do get rain here, it just makes the day that much more muggy. I think it hit below 90 one day this month and it was a humid, muggy 75....which made it feel like 90.
I looked at that over the shoulder baby holder and the maya wrap last night. It had instructions on making them (well, something like them), and for those without confident sewing skills, ordering instructions.
Kirstyn, at the Wal-Mart here, I couldn't find a sling. I looked everywhere for them earlier this morning (I couldn't sleep so I ventured to the city to browse Wally World and K-Mart for baby stuff). They only had the backpack ones. Lucky you for having a cool Wal-Mart. :D
I'll probably just sew one. My grandma was real into the whole "Do-it-yourself" thing....everything from photo albums to poodle skirts. :p She left me her sewing machine (A real nice old one surrounded it oak :D) when she passed one. The patterns don't look complicated. I have my aunt looking for cute material and she's going to get some for me.
Should I make a padded one? Or do just just-fabric ones work just as nicely?

i think padding is nice cuz it's padding....duh, lol[IMG] [IMG]
but the one i made is just out of a bed sheet and it still works great. My biggest suggestion would be to have one that fans out well over your shoulder and back if you're doing a ring sling kinda thing (heehee, that rhymes.....i'm a dork) just for comfort. You could always add padding youself around the edges and wher it will hit your shoulder using quilting batting.
That's too bad your walmart doesn't have them. I find every store carries different things....it kinda sucks! But then again, walmart kinda sucks in general.....

I like being pregnant now because I feel him moving around alot and feel such a strong connection...however, I am feeling more uncomfortable all the time! Heartburn, backaches, swelling, and the heat (I live in Hawaii so at least I get to swim in the ocean alot). I am 33 weeks now and started having that same feeling a few weeks ago where I can't stop fantasizing about holding him, meeting him...all of that. Even my husband asks me practically every day "when is our baby coming?" but we both know he still needs to stay in for at least a little while longer!
About the slings, I own alot of sarongs and my prenatal yoga teacher said she used those as a sling since alot of the slings are made of bulky materials and much too hot for where we live!
