i haven't combed my hair for a few weeks now. my roommate asked me about it. i told her i was just gonna let it dread up. she replied, "i'd rather not have a roommate with dreads, because i don't want vermin in the house." VERMIN?? seriously? she assumes my head will be plagued with bugs and small creatures if i don't brush it. i have been shampooing it with regular shampoo and will until the bottle runs out. once i get paid i'm gonna go buy some soap for dreads. shouldn't my hair be "vermin" free if i keep it clean, EVEN if it's dreaded?
AND!! and!! and!! she's got super short hair.. i didn't say anything back to her when she said it.. just tried not to laugh
Heh you should let her know that short hair is the perfect lifestyle for lice and ticks (seriously true) also clean hair so people are just idiotic about dreads. They even say they're dirty if they're dirty then no bugs are in my damn head!
heheh.. wonder how she'd feel to know i've been using her comb to back comb it a little here and there :X
