ok heres the quick run down of the situation. i was back transplanting some babies into the ground, and my g/f accidentally threw a bucket on top of a plant that was already in the ground and the stem snapped. It was a pretty good snap, the plant fell over but it was still connected by a little bit of stem. i had an extra piece of camo cloth with me and i wanted to create a splint (i think its called), but i dunno if i did it right. i just wrapped the cloth around the broken stem a few good times in order to try to reconnect the two pieces of stem together. I made it stirdy enough so that it would stand on its own, but not so tight that it constricts the stem. I then piled some soil up around the cloth which is wrapped around the stem to give it extra support, i made it nice and sturdy. Does this repair process seem alright? The plant was standing on its own when i left - is it possible that the plant will rejuvenate and become independent again? Its suppose to rain tonight so hopefully it doesnt harm it anymore. What are your guys thoughts? Should i do something different, or what? I coulda killed my g/f, but after all it was an accident. thanks alot fellas
When I snapped a stem I put a bit of cloth round it then taped over the cloth. It grew just fine. All you can do is just see how it goes.
